NOT this Nursery Ofsted!

The announcement by OFSTED that relates to Eary Years education and the criticism they level at some Nurseries is NOT the case here at Ashmore Park Nursery.
Ofsted said the best provision was in "school-based nurseries and school-led nurseries" because head teachers "can track the progress of children in those school-based nurseries all the way into reception and beyond and make sure they do well".
A Department for Education spokesperson said starting to learn from a young age with high-quality teacher-led provision could have a real and lasting impact on children's development and life chances.
Councillor Phil Bateman said “As Chair of Governors at Ashmore Park Nursery school, I would like to respond to the current focus on high quality Early Years provision. As you may be aware our Nursery school has been rated as outstanding in its last two Ofsted inspections.
The Nursery is highly focussed on providing the very best learning opportunities for all children. As Governors, we carefully monitor the outcomes for our children and we are confident that the headteacher, her deputy and indeed all staff can effectively track the progress of the children.
We are aware of the fact that the children deserve to be in a school with highly qualified, and highly motivated staff who have a commitment to constantly improving their practice. We have also worked hard on transition arrangements for when children transfer to primary school to ensure that the children continue to build upon the outstanding start they have had to their educational life.
I want to assure parents that the this Nursery School is very aware of the need to develop children, and we go the extra mile to ensure that when they leave this Nursery for Primary School, they leave having been well prepared for their next educational steps, as we do all we can to improve not only the learning experience of children, but also in fulfilling and enhancing quality staff training. ”
