Wood End Mast Threat Retreats

Now for some good news for Wood-End in Wednesfield!

Today at the Wolverhampton Planning Committee T-Mobile were granted permission to locate their telecommunications antennae and ancillary equipment on the Wednesfield Town FC site.

This effectively removes the telecommunications Ariel threat to the Wood End shops site.

Councillor Dave Jones who had campaigned together with local residents against the threat of the telecommunications mast said " I hope that the wire mesh fencing that had been placed around the hole dug for the facility can now be taken down. It was a poor site for such equipment and I am sure that the community will be pleased that this site is now no longer under threat."

Councillor Phil Bateman had declared an interest and took no part in the planning decision because he had objected to the original site ear marked for the shops at Wood End."
