Oliver Twist - Another Grand Performance from Coppice Kids!

Well I attended the Coppice Performing Arts School evening performance of Oliver! Friday night..
It was a very well performed Charles Dickens story based in 1837. It was a great performance by the young people of the school, and was very much appreciated by the large audience which attended. There was not a spare seat in the house which is testimony to the quality of the production.
The show opened on Wednesday night the 19th of March and ends on Saturday 22nd March.

Much of the praise for the organisation lies with the Producer/ Director Stephen Clifton, who told the audience before the start of the performance that it was his 20th production he had produced at the school.

There were some great performances from the schools actors especially those in the principle parts.

I for my part enjoyed Adam Tipton as The Artful Dodger, and it may be because I know Adam well but the part just fitted his own unique character!

All in all the school and Mr Clifton deserves enormous praise for putting on such a professional and highly enjoyable show. The audience showed its support for the performance by their enthusiastic clapping and the warm reception they gave to all the performers that took part in this epic play.

Finally a word for the orchestra, hidden from public view, under the capable baton skills of Conductor Nicky Lacey. They were very good and the music accompaniment added silky musical notes to the grand performance of the theatre players.
