Power Outage - Again !

Power Outages- Is there a problem with supply in Wolverhampton?

I have again made representations to Wolverhampton City Councils Chief Executive today with regard to electricity supplies to districts within Wolverhampton. I think that there is an electricity supply problem in Wolverhampton and I have asked the Chief Executive to investigate how many power outages we have had in the City over the past 2 years. What cost and expense the outages have had on the City economy, and a reason for there increasing frequency. Also why they are happening, and if we should be preparing for even more serious power supply problems going into the future. The evidence is that districts in the City are being increasingly hit, with frequency of these outages also appearing to be on the rise.

I have also asked him to instruct his staff to do all they can to bring forward the reasons why people are suffering in this way. What strategies are being played, and to investigate if the City is suffering more from these effects than other Black Country towns. During the course of this afternoon there has again been a power cut in Wednesfield- with service cut for approx three hours as reported by residents on the Linthouse estate.
