Joint Statement- Wednesfield Aces '£1 to Survive' Plan

Joint message from Councillor Phil Bateman and Wednesfield Aces Cycle Speedway Club

Following the disastrous fire that was started deliberately in the early hours of this morning. Wednesfield Aces have worked quickly to continue in operation, they have spent all day cleaning out the debris left by the Arsonists.

But tomorrow Tuesday 7th August 2012 at 4.30pm the club and its members begin the long process of rebuilding this community cycle speedway club.

Any member of the public that would like to help with this process is urged to come down to the track and ‘have a cup of tea’ with the volunteers and management committee of Wednesfield Aces.

The Club will be happy to receive donations during this period and a bucket will be provided for you to give your “£1 to survive” donation or more.

We will also be encouraging our young riders to train and ride, so you will be able to see at first hand the great work that the Club does to encourage young people to embrace sport.
