Appeal for Funds for Wednesfield Aces.

Wednesfield Aces this morning suffered a cruel Arson Attack. This has robbed the club of priceless momentoes, trophies, pennants and photographs. The Club has just passed its 50th Birthday.
I have written to the City Council seeking help, but the club is in immediate need of financial resources to allow the Wednesfield Aces to continue.
Councillor Rita Potter and I know that Wednesfield people are generous and what we would like to do is to appeal to residents to consider giving a small donation to Wednesfield Aces allowing them to continue with their fixtures.

Lots of people are rallying around. But we both believe that if everyone gave a £1 donaton on Ashmore Park alone, much of the Aces worries would be overcome.

So can we ask the community to make a commitment to raise enough financial resources to allow the Club to operate now, and to repair all that was damaged in time for the televised cycle speedway meet in a few weeks that Wednesfield Aces are committed to putting on.

This is a great club that keeps young people in sport and out of trouble. Lets show our appreciation by donating a sum to them. I will start with a £25.00 donation.
