Buckingham Palace Responds to Ashmore Park Together

Following the 'Ashmore Park Together' community and voluntary groups sterling effort in putting on a 'Fun Day' to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee earlier this year.

I wrote to Her Majesty explaining all that had taken place, in her name. I have now had a response from Buckingham Palace. In it the response states
" The Queen was interested to learn that of the celebrations held in Ashmore Park, Wednesfield to mark the Diamond Jubilee and sends her best wishes to all concerned"

I know that at the time the community was concerned that the event did not draw as much attention from the media as they would have liked.

But I am sure that receiving such a Royal response from The Queen on the occassion of the Sixtieth Anniversary is recognition that cannot be beaten! Well done Ashmore Park and everyone that played a role in this great community venture.
