Snippets of News From Around Ashmore Park

Lots of little issues around the Estate gets reported here!
The footpath access to Ashmore Park via Russell Close is in need of attention as the footway is pitted and is an impediment to pedestrians trying to access the Park. I have requested action to improve the footway.
A resident on crutches drew my attention to the poor state of the foot paths around Birch Road, again the City Council was informed and an inspection is taking place. Resident is pleased with the action to date.
Wrote to City Council requesting a dead cat be removed from Peacock Avenue.

Made contact with City Officials regarding the BMX track on Ashmore Park and its future use and the future plans for the sport on the estate. Contacted Wednesfield Aces about their future development and their plans for the sport. Met with the Committee of the Club.

The New Community Hub developments out for public consultation has been postponed due to the item being called into the Scrutiny Board. If you have a query about this policy issue speak with either myself or Councillor Rita Potter. Do Not Listen to Rumours!


The One Stop Store. There is a Licence application for the sale of alcohol when the store re-opens in the Griffith Drive/Higgs Road shopping centre. Residents have written regarding their concerns. I have advised neighbours when they have contacted me about how to make their views known.
