More News On Bentley Bridge Shopping Complex

As a local Councillor I am engaged in a wide range of issues as you would expect.
At the centre of Wednesfield economy is the need to continue to develop jobs and infrastructure. All the Labour Wednesfield North and South Councillors are involved with this objective.

We recently met with our Wednesfield Party members and were urged by them to do all that we can to see toilet facilities developed at Bentley Bridge.

Bentley Bridge is a private sector shopping centre that is central to the Village future going forward. I have on behalf of my colleagues done just that. Our initiative has been well received by Axa who own the site, and we are due to meet with them in the near future.

The importance of creating a first class Bentley Bridge shopping destination is a target that I suspect Wednesfield Labour Party strongly shares with the owners.

Just to add strength to the initiative we have undertaken. The owners have shared some information with us which to me is very impressive, considering we are in the heart of a recession.

Axa inform me that there has been 1.6m vehicles visit the destination to date this year. Each one of those visitors I am sure would be much more comfortable to know that a public toilet was available if they required one!

I am looking forward to meeting the owners of the site. Not just to press the issue of public toilets, but to understand in more detail the future developments, the impact of the current recession on growth plans, and how we can work together to develop more jobs for our community into the future, as well as creating ideas as to how the High Street can be integrated into the development.
