Residents Anger Leads to Action!

This is a small but important site on Ashmore Park, and residents just do not like the current condition of the site.
A constituent contacted me following my election in May about the state of a corner of land at Woodside on Ashmore Park. He explained that the land was untidy and he had requested attention to it previously.

He informed me that he was exasperated due to the fact that despite indications that the land would be tidied up- it hadn't!

I can now inform residents that, following representations that I have med to the Authority, I have received confirmation that the land has now deteriorated to an unacceptable level and the Authority will this week be issuing a Section 330 Notice.

Which is the first stage of formal enforcement action. Further a section 215 Notice requiring the foliage to be cut down and weed suppressant applied will follow if the land remains in its present unkept condition.

I am also further informed that, there was a planning permission for this site to have erect 8 flats.

I now understand that this permission has now expired.City Council Officials will therefore try and ascertain from the land owners their future intentions for the site.
