Big Day for Wolverhampton on Saturday!

It is Armed Forces Day tomorrow, and I will be at the event and the Drum Head service.

At around 12.15 it is expected people will gather for the Parade in Lichfield Street. It is a very worthwhile event and a great opportunity for Wolverhampton to support our Armed Services!

The Mayor will lead the City and the event is due to close at 2.00pm .

Then following that spectacle, the Olympic Torch Relay will enter the City and it is expected that the Olympic Torch and flame will progress through the City and Lichfield Street at around and sometime after 2.50pm.

The City has organised around 50 events to entertain the crowds and the Torchbearers . So it sounds like a really good day tomorrow! I hope Wednesfield people mark their respect for both occasions.
