Community Centre Team- Just the Business!

I found the Ashmore Park CA meeting very interesting. Much of what I heard at the meeting was very encouraging.

The CA is active, it has a wide range of activity. It even has problems with the space it has. In other words its a real community orghanisation that is reflecting the community it sits within and serves. The Chair Ann Wood however spoke of the need to expand and deliver more for the community.

It has a very solid financial base and a very strong team of elected committee members that 'buy-in' to their Chairs vision of future services for Ashmore Community Association.

I have agreed to meet with the leaders and talk through with them of their future plans. I will do all that I can to help the CA continue to develop their facilities and proposals for the community.

What is certain is that there is a requirement in Wednesfield North to continue to develop a whole range of community facilities.

The Library, the Youth Centre and Sports barn are all aging infrastructure. They all need investment and they need to be smartened up. If they are going to continue to provide for the tasks they were designed for.
