New Social Housing Required In Wolverhampton

The need for housing has never been greater here in Wolverhampton.
I have already posted that we have 12,000 people waiting on the housing waiting list for homes. That is the size of Bridgnorth town!

In the whole of the West Midlands there were only 8,250 new homes built last year. Affordability we are informed is not achievable for either people wishing to buy or rent from a private landlord for the average person. Hence the huge waiting list to get into Wolverhampton's own social housing stock.

We need new homes that people can afford to rent!
That is where there has to be some movement and I am pleased that Wolverhampton Labour Party are supporting the investigation and finance availability of the potential for the building of new City Council social housing.
