No Support For Academics View!

We have had a good few days canvassing on the Ward. I want to thank everyone who has been good enough to indicate that they will be voting for me on May 3rd!
Interestingly last night one of our band spotted the Conservative Group out doing some canvassing in the Wood End area of Wednesfield.

First real sign of activity in the Ward by my opponents. Interestingly they were appearing in an area where we had canvassed during the week end. But for the record we were out on Ashmore Park and I received a very warm response.

I want to set out my view today on the academics that have declared on the Birmingham Mayor referendum. The so called ‘Warwick Commission’ is calling on the newly elected Mayor to take control over some functions that fall outside the City boundary and is within the rest of the sub region, including the Black Country.

Now I am all for a debate about the future looks of the Black Country, but I am vehemently opposed to the way that this is being offered.

Make no mistake if I do get elected onto Wolverhampton City Council I will do my best to ensure that the new Birmingham elected Mayor has no say over Wolverhampton, without the people of this city having some kind of elected responsibility.
