A Right to Know!

There is a growing resentment that the police service is moving away from some of the main planks of 'protect and serve'.
If all the means that are left to seek help and advice is down the telephone or at the end of a computer line. Then the daily contact between th e police and their public will lessen, and the deep bond that has been the mainstay of our relationship with the police will diminish.

There should be a reversal of this policy, which is to reduce the hours that the public will be able to attend Wednesfield Police Station. We all know that you only want to attend a police station if an act of law has been broken! Or you have become a victim of unlawful action. Sadly these issues are not always during 'office hours'.

Perhaps the police will tell us how much they are saving in denying the public access to their Wednesfield Police station by this action. The public have a right to know? After all its the public who are stomping up the tax £'s that the Police Authority and the Chief Constable is spending.
