Outstanding School- Ashmore Park Nursery School! Official Ofsted Report

Ashmore Park Nursery has for the second Ofsted inspection running, attained an “Outstanding School” title. This is a remarkable achievement for all the school community,staff and Governors. This result builds upon a decade of solid achievement here at Ashmore Park Nursery School.

I think to achieve this much sought after accolade from Ofsted is wonderful for the community we serve; it builds upon a decade of hard work where we have seen the school inspected four times since the year 2000. Each time the school has been inspected our staff have improved on the children’s education.

In 2006 the Inspectors said that “this school has a justifiably high reputation in the locality as it is a good school with some outstanding features.”

In 2009 when Ofsted next visited, the staff at the school had lifted the school attainment even further -the Inspector’s reported “The nursery and children's center provide an outstanding quality of service to the local community.”

In 2011- the third Inspection by Ofsted in less than 10 years, the school is now described by Inspectors as being “An outstanding school, the excellent quality of education it provides arises out of the passion and commitment that all staff bring to ensuring children do as well as they possibly can, so that they are fully prepared for primary school. Leadership and management are outstanding.”

As Chair of Governors I want to congratulate the Headteacher Sue Lacey and Deputy Jane Parocki for their drive and leadership, and every one of you that brings your skills and commitment each morning to Ashmore Park Nursery School. It is without doubt your commitment and your individual drive that has been the reason for the school’s success.

I am sure my fellow Governor’s will be thrilled with the “Outstanding School” description that has been awarded to us by Ofsted. I am sure that the full report is available to you to read.

But for me on the morning of the release of the report I wanted to congratulate you all for the great work that you are delivering for our community.
