We Won A Woscar Award!

The Governors and staff of Ashmore Park Nursery School and the Park’s Children Centre would like to place on record the pleasure and delight we have with the fact that the school and its pupils has won a coveted Woscar!
The WOSCARS 2011 – is an award run by Wolverhampton City Council-
The School and Children Centre submitted a presentation on 'The Language of Photography' which demonstrated children using digital cameras to support their experiences in and beyond nursery.
The staff and children (from two to four years) were using the digital cameras to enhance their interests, experiences and curiosity within their environment.
The award was the top award and was for most Innovative Practice for Early Years. Debbie Harris and Headteacher Sue Lacey accompanied by two children to represent the nursery, and attended the award ceremony on Thursday 7th July 2011, at the Science Park in Wolverhampton, Although it was a long afternoon for our young children, it was an enjoyable one.
As Chairman of the Governors I am delighted that once again the school has won an award for the innovative work we undertake with nursery aged children. Wonderful just wonderful is the way that this establishment goes about its business.
Ashmore Park Nursery received an ‘outstanding school’ accolade from Ofsted in 2009.
