Coalition Government Plots Huge Cuts In Social Programme

The Coalition Government of Conservative and Liberal Democrats has spent its first hundred days in practical fashion preparing to axe social programmes, taking out public sector jobs, and preparing the nation for even more losses after the review they are undertaking is known later this Summer.

It is without doubt going to be horrendous for families that have to rely on help from the state, work for the public sector, or rely on public finance for pump priming.

There will not be a family a town or a city that will not feel pain in the forthcoming months due to the hard right wing policy the Government is undertaking. Here in Wednesfield we will not be any different. This Government will have our community “smelling hell through a sewer pipe” in the next 12 months.
The Labour Party will do all it can to highlight an alternative way forward. Councillor Rita Potter is already working flat out to help individuals and families. Together with Emma Reynolds Wolverhampton North East MP, Rita will do all that she can to provide help and advice for our community.
In the meantime Wednesfield North Labour Party has seen its membership increase by 11% and we expect to take even more new members as this uncaring coalition starts to wipe out social programmes like maybe the winter fuel allowances? The Liberal Democrat deputy Prime Minister Clegg this morning on GMTV refused to answer when asked directly if they were to keep it! After campaigning for its expansion in the General Election campaign!
