Asking About Missing Robert Bateman

My cousin Jimmy has given me a lead regarding Uncle Bob who went missing from the family in 1950 or there abouts.

My Dad Tom Bateman often talked about Uncle Bob and so did my Nan. It was a source of much family anguish that Bob or Robert to give him his proper name had just melted away out of sight.

Now some time later my Cousin Jim Bateman from Alberta has given a lead. I have written to the Editor of the Winniepeg Free Press to see if they can help in discovering Uncle Bob's family. It would be nice to find out all about Bob and I know it would make my old father very happy!
