Row Looming!

A row appears to be looming over decisions taken by Willenhall Police to block pedestrian access routes in Coppice Farm with gates.

Reports I am receiving from residents in Ashmore Park suggest that there are moves taking place to block walking access routes linking Coppice Farm Estate with Ashmore Park.

The mystery has deepened in recent weeks because allegations that reach me suggest that some residents have received letters explaining what is happening....and some haven't!

Despite the 'walkways' being covered by 'rights of way' protection, it appears that the two Local Councils -Wolverhampton and Walsall - both of which are Conservative controlled appear not to be working very well together on this 'rumoured' project.

Some residents on Ashmore Park are feeling very aggrieved with regard to this state of affairs.Especially those that use the routes to the Somerfield for shopping. Also there are residents in Coppice Farm that use the shops ,schools bus services and health facilities on Ashmore Park daily that may be inconvenienced.

The three Wednesfield North Conservative Councillors also appear to be keeping unusually quiet on the subject.

Residents who contact me are getting very aggrieved about what they are not hearing!

Whilst I am not a Local Councillor anymore I do think that it is bad form by our elected Members in not keeping their electorate informed of what is happening, this quiet approach by the local Councillor's is not helping to inform people of what is really taking place.

During the period when I was Wednesfield North Labour Councillor a steady stream of information was available on this web site on a range of issues that affected the living working and social conditions in the Ward, on a daily basis.

The three incumbent Councillors that we now have, all told the electorate that they could and would do the job better!

Perhaps by the number of contacts I am receiving on this particular subject and others....that the Conservative Councillors are struggling to live up to their own hype?

Come on now will one of these individuals who represent Wednesfield North or the Local Authorities involved please make a public statement allowing people to really know what is taking place in their name?!

Just allowing Willenhall police to wander around with letters for some not all..... is not the way forward.
