Last Chance for Labour?

The chancellor will deliver his pre-Budget report today. There is widespread speculation that he will cut taxes and increase public spending to stimulate the economy.

I think that Labour voters will want to see some evidence that the Government understands their needs in this world of credit crunch. We need some adjustments to income tax and we need the stimulus of new homes for those that need social housing support. If the Government reduces the burden of income tax on the lowest paid families and supports infrastructure and new housing programmes. It is highly likely that support for Labour will return.



The economy is the most important issue around and this Labour Government is not going to be given another chance to improve the lives of the majority.
