Great Local Response

Wednesfield North Labour Party are very pleased with the way that the election campaign is moving as we approach the last 6 days of campaigning.

The By-Election was caused by the resignation of Tory Councillor's David Bourne and wife Councillor Carol Bourne the husband and wife couple represented Wednesfield North and Wednesfield South on Wolverhampton City Council.

The couple were 'outed' following allegation's of a 'sex for sale' scandal reported in the national Sunday newspaper the Sunday Mirror.

With a huge turn-out of voluntary workers there has been a magnificent response to the contact that is being made with voters in both areas of Wednesfield. Allied with personal contact both Labour candidates Dave Jones Wednesfield North and Mike Hardacre Wednesfield South have both been making their mark with voters as they have toured their constituencies.

With the Labour Party rising in the national Polls, and the hard work that both local Labour candidates are now involved with in trying to return real trust back to local politics, the momentum is now clearly building for the Wednesfield Labour candidates.

The message is a clear one for Wednesfield residents. A vote for the Labour Party will return two real good top performing advocates and representatives to the City Council, both these candidates have a real experience of living and working in Wednesfield. Mike Hardacre was the headmaster of local Comprehensive School, Coppice Community High School, and Dave Jones as well as being a former Councillor for Wednesfield North, is a resident living in Wednesfield North and bringing up his family in the heart of Wednesfield North where he lives on Ashmore Park.

I have no problem in endorsing these two high calibre candidates to represent Wednesfield in all aspects of the City Council, talking up the Village and talking up the achievements of our community. My advice for any local community member is to vote Labour in this By -Election on Thursday 23rd October if you want people who will not betray your trust.
