Injury Caused By Collision With Car

There have been quite a lot of local interest in trying to curb the speed of some of the traffic that speeds down Broad Lane North.

In the last few days a resident has approached me informing me that her son was knocked down by a car and the result is the lad was lucky to escape with a broken ankle/leg.

I have been campaigning for some time for action to be taken against speed on this lane. There has been an element of support for speed cameras by residents.

Sadly nothing other than road marking has taken place and that will not restrict the racing car drivers from using the Lane as a racetrack.

Recently I appealed (again) to the police for some action to be taken .

But I am unaware that anything positive has happened on this front. What is certain is that the speed that some of the drivers are travelling in the Lane will lead to further incidents of injury accidents.

I am once again appealing to the Authorities to take some action and curb the speed in this lane, for the safety of all.
