No Decisions On Candidature Yet!

I think that the forcing out from the City Council of the two Conservative Councillors David and Carol Bourne and then pushing them from public office, is a victory for decency and public opinion.

The question Iam now being asked is if I shall stand,but this is a question for a later date than today!

I have always enjoyed serving the people of Wednesfield and Wolverhampton. In more than 20 years of elected service I hope I have done so with grace and some style.

The decision to stand or not will be taken after a good deal of consultation with my immediate family, my friends and my colleagues that work with me here in our local Labour Party all the year round. I am sure that the residents of Wednesfield will also want to counsel me on the proper course of action to take.

All of these inter actions will take some days to fulfil

Lets just rejoice in the fact that decency and public opinion prevailed and two very poor Councillors have now departed the scene.
I shall be making no instant decisions today one way or another! I know that there has been quite a lot of effort put in over the last 10 days to get these two people to resign.

The next few days must be used for reflection, and that is what I shall do.
