A Wolverhampton Story To Make You Feel Proud!

During my period of Office as Mayor of the City of Wolverhampton and before. I was very pleased to have worked with Divine Onkar Mission to raise funds for the charitable work this great little Wolverhampton charity does in India.
Now with the huge and massive floods that have hit India, this very responsive charity which is run by Wolverhampton resident Tersaim Lal is once again raising funds and donations, and they are again out in India distributing the generous aid from the people of Wolverhampton and the Black Country.

Here are some of the pictures of Aid provided by Divine Onkar Mission
for the victims of the Flood in Bihar. A team of 20 people and three trucks full
of Food and Clothes were sent to Bihar on 1st September, 2008 by Divine
Onkar Mission.

Amongst the donations were clothes donated by Mann Brothers of West Bromwich and these were distributed to the victims of the massive floods that hit Bihar.

In co-operation with Indian Military and other local organisation, DOM volunteers distributed food and clothes for the needy.

Most of the areas had been isolated by water and the volunteers had to travel by boats to reach these regions. As a charity, they feel very proud for
the service and aid provided to the flood victims.

Mr Lal and his great team of volunteers would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Wolverhampton and the Black Country people for their continued support towards their charity.

Divine Onkar Mission is looking for more donations for the flood victims.

As you can see from this article and some of the photo's it is a disaster of huge proportions. Sadly it seems to be slipping away from the public gaze when there is still so much to be done!
