Peacock Avenue

Forgive me for having a moan! But residents of Wednesfield North keep asking me the same question ,that I keep asking myself!

I do know that Peacock Avenue has been closed for through traffic for nigh on a week, yet there seems to be no reason for its extended closure? Yes I know workmen are working on the avenue replacing kerbs etc.

But every time I walk along the length, and into the evening there is little or no work taking place. Yet the closure is disruptive for many. Why is the road closed after 18.00hrs?

Perhaps the local Councillors can explain the logic of the situation?
