"Crime on Ashmore Park gets a very good airing at the Ashmore Park Police Liaison Committee, and West Midlands Police on Tuesday night gave an update on the success that they were having in tackling crime elements.

They reported that they had been checking scooters and mopeds following complaints about speed and other traffic offences.

They reported that most of the checks had given the riders a thumbs up as they had insurance and tax.

There were still reports made of 2 yellow motorscooters that were a cause for concern. The police asked the meeting to get the registration plate and action would be followed through.

They also reported that the 'bogus caller' they were warning about at the last meeting had been identified arrested and was now behind bars!

Members of the public who made up the audience was very pleased to hear of this development."
