Caravan Crime Update

At the September Meeting of the Ashmore Park Police Liaison Committee there were reports of Caravan crimes and the police had stepped up their patrols with a view to apprehending the culprits.

At that September meeting the community heard for the first time of the break ins that had been taking place in parked caravans. All had reported that nothing had been stolen , but that the caravans had all appeared to have been slept in!

Councillor Bateman said " It appears that all the publicity and the heightened awareness following the interest in caravan crime on Ashmore Park has done the trick. Wednesfield Police at the Ashmore Park Liaison Committee last night reported that no further incidents have been reported.

I think that this is good news as it shows that when the public and the police work together there is obvious benefits for the whole community.General crime on the Estate had reduced to just 50 incidents in a two month period."
