Councillor's To Make Own Schools Submission

The meetings that were all scheduled today have all taken place with regard to Danesmore Park School and the 'Informal Closure' consultation.

In the lead up to this evening when the last of three meetings have been held, it has not been very nice for anyone that has been involved in the current process.
But now the Informal Consultation meetings have taken place with Staff and Governors and finally parents tonight, there is no reason why the debate about the future cannot take place pretty well unfettered.

Councillor Phil Bateman said "Now is the time that Councillor Dave Jones and I will start to involve ourselves in the debate detail.

I have been making the point all along that this is not yet a closure order, it is now right to analyse what has been said by all those that have made comment, not only on my web site and that on Danesmore Park own web site.

But also on what others with an interest have to say about the future of Primary Education on this estate.

Councillor Jones and I will now be engaging with interested parties over the forthcoming period with a view to making our own submission to the City Councils Local Education Authority as to what the future of Primary Education on this estate may look like into the future."
