Police Urged To Act!

The recent Ashmore Park Police Liaison Committee meeting was once again very well attended, Wednesfield Police were in attendance as were about 50 residents.
There was a lot of items discussed and the police briefed the meeting about the crime that had taken place on the estate following the last meeting.

Wednesfield Police spoke of a low level of crime incidents but a very high level of detection. Some 40% of all the incidents reported had been detected which according to the officers present was certainly above the average.

A significant part of the meeting focussed on the behaviour of a couple of car drivers that were racing around the estate with music at high volume and a noisy exhausts. The description given by residents of the two cars was noted. Councillor Dave Jones was very forthright in his comments about the danger and the noise and nuisance that these two individuals were wreaking on the estate. Councillor Jones urged the police to arrange for the Traffic Division to intervene, and bring this particular issue to a close.
