Bus Stop Break Up Gets Attention
Councillor Phil Bateman said today "One of the concerns that I have had during the summer months have been the rippled effect that the highway has taken around bus stops on Peacock Avenue and Griffith Drive.
I wrote to the City Engineers and explained to them that I thought the deep ruts and potholes that had appeared at bus stops in these locations were dangerous not only for motorised traffic but also for pedestrians.
Today I have received correspondence from the Highway engineers that confirm that they are aware of the problems and the defects in the locations that I have identified, and that remedial work will take place to reinstate the highway before the end of the week. I am of course very pleased by this outcome and the swift attention that Wolverhampton City Council has given the problem."
