The Shocking Cost of Vandalism

Councillor Phil Bateman said "I have been contacted by a number of constituents who have been concerned about the vandalism that has been taking place and aimed at two bus shelters located at the corner of Peacock Avenue and Lichfield Road."
he added "I have been in touch withCentro who are the responsible public authority and have requested that they provide me with the number of time the shelters have been attacked over the last two and a half years.

Now whilst the shelters are the responsibility of Centro, it is with out doubt some members of our community that are the culprits when it comes to there damage. I would like to appeal now for the community to inform the police or crimestoppers anonymously, about who is to blame for these very regular attacks on public property. Here are the records of these two bus shelters the number and the cost of the attacks are in my view quite shocking".
