Ashmore Park Nursery School

I attended the Governors meeting at Ashmore Park Nursery yesterday. Both Mary and I are elected onto the Governing Body.

It is a well run school, and the children are getting a very good education learning all manner of things. The staff under Mrs Lacey are very caring, indeed the whole Governing Body....I am the token male...is really very nice.

The meeting lasted for just two hours much of the business was conducted very business like, but we did have the odd laugh!

I met Mrs Parocki the new Deputy for the first time, she seemed very capable, and inevitably was trying to recognise who was who in the room!

There was good news to report in that the Nursery School to date this year has not been targeted by vandals. Though concern was raised about parking issues and the safe walk to the school for parents who park at the Ashmore Inn and walk across Griffith Drive.

Governors reported that they thought the crossing from the Inn to the school was dangerous, it was agreed that we ask Road Safety to assess the safety of the walking route.
