I am so upset at hearing that the FA are once again entrusting the success of the English team to another overseas ' have passport will travel' type of guy!

When will they ever learn that what the average football fan wants is an everyday home grown English or British professional sitting in top job that we have here in English football..

In just a few short hours I have had dozens of criticism's from ordinary football fans from around the city,about the FA decision to appoint Brazilian Philip Scholari as Manager of England...what a kick in the teeth for our domestic game?

I am a football fan and I wanted to see an English manager of the National Team.......! Perhaps Brian Barwick and the FA insiders should be considering their positions.....what does this man know about our football and the players that we have here, that are hoping to break through into the top flight. Not a Mexican jumping bean I will be bound!

This is a crass decision that will both inflame and depress the national game. I don't like Sven but I have suffered him........

Do we really need to be as mercenary as this to succeed in world football. My instinct is to cry to Barwick and his mandarins to 'go now you have failed in English football'!

But worse than that you have ignored the strong public opinion that just wanted some home grown talent to fill the boots of Greenwood, Ramsay,Mercer and Winterbottam. Isn't it just so frustrating being a football fan
