Allied Irish Bank

On Tuesday the 11th April The Mayor Councillor Phil Bateman MBE visited the offices of the Allied Irish Bank in Waterloo Road and held talks with the Bank Executive Dermott Kelly, about the economic scene taking place here in Wolverhampton. The Allied Irish Bank are big investors here in the City and across the Black Country.
Councillor Bateman said "The Bank are also part of my Business Champions Group and they have played a major role within the Group, in advising both myself and the city on the way forward to prosperity.

I can report that they remain very much committed to Wolverhampton, and they like the way that we have been trying to keep the business sector informed of developments taking place here within our city boundaries and beyond.

The Allied Irish Bank are the second leading city business that I have visited in a 'whistle stop' tour of Wolverhampton's leading businesses this week. There are more visit's planned as my Mayoral year starts to run out.
One of the issues we discussed was the Let's Fly Cosford Campaign that the City is backing. It was good to get first hand comments from an important organisation like the AIB. It was also good to hear them re-affirm their support for the campaign to bring the aero-nautical development worth £billions to the area."
The Allied Irish Bank sponsored the St Patricks Day Breakfast that the Mayor held last month. Picture St Patricks Day in the Parlour.
