120 Golfers Now in The Mayor's Golf Challenge!

April 27th is going to be a real great day for golf in Wolverhampton!

The Mayor's Great Golf Challenge has certainly sparked a great deal of interest here in the city. The numbers of players now registered to play is a massive 120...that is 30 teams of four!! So if you are still considering entering the most prestigous tournament in Wolverhampton....be quick...be very quick!
I think the response that golfers have made in Wolverhampton and around the district is just great!

We still have some opportunities with regard to sponsorship, but you will have to be quick for that as well!.The cost for a team of four players is a very modest £120 per team. That cost also includes a buffet. The tee times are from 7.30 am through to late afternoon.

A presentation will follow the last team in. Teams play for the Mayor's Charity Shield and other prizes . Winners of the corporate challenge will also receive prizes.

It will be a really great day, and I am hoping that we will have a record breaking number of entries. Advice is that we can only take 40 teams of four...and as I have explained we are on 30 already we seem on for a 'sell out."

Contact Wolverhampton Clubs for Young People The Windmill Centre Castlecroft Avenue Castlecroft Wolverhampton on 01902 572270 or Fax 01902 572271.

Remember the Closing Date for Entry is the 18th April 2006

The whole organisation is being put together by a local youth organisation, Wolverhampton Clubs for Young People, and assisted by young people from their own golf academy. All in all the event is proving a real winner, and of course that means the real winner is the charities, that the sum raised will eventually be donated too.
