Civic lunch at outdoor education centre

Dignitaries from Wolverhampton and Wales will be joining together to enjoy a civic lunch at an outdoor education centre.
The event will take place at the Wolverhampton City Council-owned Towers Outdoor Education Centre near Betws-y-Coed in Wales on Friday (March 24).

Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Phil Bateman MBE is organising the civic lunch to highlight the facilities available there for the city’s young people, including specialist facilities for children with special educational needs.

Those invited to the event from Wolverhampton include Councillor Christine Irvine, the city council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, and Roy Lockwood, Director for Children and Young People.

Councillor Bateman said: “I hope this event will help show off the excellent facilities at the Towers and also the strong relationship we enjoy with our colleagues and counterparts in Wales.”

The event will take place between 11am and 2.30pm.

Photographers are welcome to attend the event. Please contact the press office to make arrangements.
