Mayoral Blog!
On Friday night along with civic heads from many other local authorities Mary and I travelled to Stafford for their Charter Ball, there were 350 people present at the County Show Grounds. It was a very high profile night and the actual 800 year old charter was shown for the first time at the event.

We sat with the Mayor of Tamworth, Chairman of South Staffordshire District, the Bishop of Stafford, and the Chief Executive of Stafford Borough Council. We also won two raffle prizes during the course of the evening.

Today Saturday we attended the Staffordshire Amateur Swimming Association Championships at the Wolverhampton Central Baths. We attended at 10.00am and watched the competition unfold, making presentation to winners at around 12 noon. Tonight we are attending a concert played by the Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra at a Methodist Church in Whitmore Reans.
