Join The Mayor For Golf!

The Mayor is still looking for golfers who want to play in his charity golf tournament on the 27th April 2006 at Oxley Park Golf Club..

Councillor Phil Bateman explains" I know that golf is popular and I am looking to those golfers that enjoy a game to come and have a round of golf with me, all for a good cause!

The organisers have already had a good response, but I am looking for even more teams to enter so that the charities that I am raising money for can benefit.

The cost for a team of four players is a very modest £120 per team. That cost also includes a buffet. The tee times are from 7.30 am through to late afternoon. A presentation will follow the last team in. Teams play for the Mayor's Charity Shield and other prizes . Winners of the corporate challenge will also receive prizes.

It will be a really great day, and I am hoping that we will have a record breaking number of entries.

The whole organisation is being put together by a local youth organisation, Wolverhampton Clubs for Young People, and assisted by young people from their own golf academy.
