Tuesday Tuesday!

Mary and I attended TS Newfoundland's Inspection Night, on Monday night and we both enjoyed the occasion very much. We were well looked after and we enjoyed the Sea Cadets going through their paces! It was good to see the local police officer also calling in to check if everything was OK? I made a speech and presented a long service award to a retiring officer.
Today we were at Somerton House as guests of our neighbours at South Staffordshire District Council, there was as you would expect a great deal of networking going on as local government from across Staffordshire came together.

One of the biggest issues facing us all is to win the training establishment for RAF Cosford, which would secure the base for the future and lead to more than £1.5 billion pounds of development over future years. The good news is that Local Government is fully behind the campaign which has the strap line ''Lets fly Cosford.''

Councillor Mike Hampson Chairman of the District Council and his Lady Sheila were as usual perfect host''s.
