Bin's Being Set Fire

Councillor Phil Bateman MBE said today "I was very concerned to hear from residents of Kitchen Lane that their wheelie bins are being stolen by school children then taken over the back of the 'knicket' and then set on fire.

Last night on return from Mayoral duties I received a telephone call from a concerned resident who explained that he had caught a group of children in the act of stealing the bin. He tells me that they set light to the contents and in some cases throw the bin into the tree's!

Now this has to stop, and I shall inform our local police officers of my concern and that of the residents of Kitchen Lane. I also hope that Coppice High School will also warn its pupils about incidents of this sort."
