PanCake Day !

Pancake Day yesterday in the Mayor's Parlour when citizens of Wolverhampton flooded in to take part in the Mayor's Charity Coffee Morning.

Over £400 was raised during the morning as citizens of Wolverhampton supported the Mayor's Charity. The Mayor said " I thought it was brilliant that BBC Radio WM and their bubbly off the wall presenter Jenny Jones wanted to come along and report on what was a super morning. I happened to catch the recording later in the afternoon on the 'Danny Kelly Show'.

Once again we were firmly placing Wolverhampton on the regional map.

There were a lot of interviews with happy Wulfrunians that were tucking into Chef Barry Noakes own pancake selection! Incidentally If you have never heard the 'Danny Kelly Show' listen in on 95.6fm after 1.00 pm week-day's it is often very funny!

Later in the day the Mayor and Mayoress attended a long service awards evening. Councillor Bateman said " The day was a long one but both events proved very successful. It is good that the City honours its staff who give such long and loyal service. I was very pleased to host such an event and meet so many committed staff members."
