Ashmore Park Gets More Parking Improvements

Parking Improvements for Wednesfield North are once again taking place as a concerted effort is made to bring more off road parking to Wednesfield North. A £30,000 scheme for Bayliss Avenue/Raven Crescent is poised to take place in the next week or so, and three further smaller schemes in Griffith Drive are similarly ready for action.
Councillor Phil Bateman said " The City Council are poised to provide three new off road parking improvement schemes for Griffith Drive, producing another 15 car parking spaces at three separate sites on Griffith Drive. The total estimated cost for this project is £23,000.

Councillor Dave Jones added "If we add the £30,000 estimate for Bayliss Ave/Raven Cres site we will once again have won £53,000 which is a jolly good proportion of the overall £300,000 budget that is available for the whole City, for this kind of development work.

I am sure that residents will welcome the sterling effort that is going into the construction of this type of parking improvement, which inevitably makes the highway''s safer and improves the look of the estate."
Previous Parking Improvement schemes have been developed in places like Peacock Avenue as the photograph indicates.
