Mayor To Visit Athens

The Mayor and Mayoress will be visiting Athens with Executives from Wolverhampton's Mander Shopping Centre, as oppertunities to promote Wolverhampton are explored by the team of Excutives.

Councillor Phil Bateman said today" The Mayoress and I will be joining Executives from the Mander Centre on a visit to Athens in Greece on Friday 10th February, returning on Sunday 12th February 2006.. Councillor Phil Bateman said I am informed that the Mander Centre have formed a working relationship with a shopping and leisure complex in Athens.

They are exchanging key representatives from each city to explore cultural, shopping and leisure opportunities.

In effect there will be two visits. The first will be to Athens. Where we will travel with Mander Centre Executives. During the visit we will meet with local dignitaries, and local government representatives, and will be available for key interviews with the media.

Dignitaries from Athens will visit Wolverhampton at a later date.
