Ashmore Park Youth Club

Many constituents have asked me about the status of Ashmore Park Youth Club. There are reports circulating the estate that the Youth Club has been closed down.

I am being assured by senior City Officials that they are still delivering a service for young people on site but from the Sports Hall side rather than the Youth Club

We have a number of urgent repairs that must be done before we can safely re-open the Youth Club building - they have put a top priority on these repairs.

My understanding of the situation is that a break-in has taken place and equipment and the building were robbed and trashed. I will try and find out the full situation facing the users next week and reportvia this web site.
