Ashmore Park Rangers

Councillor Dave Jones today praised the work being undertaken by Ashmore Park Rangers a football team with its base on Ashmore Park.

Councillor Jones said " At the start of the new season I want to support and praise the dedicated back room team that works with the youngsters to bring them organised football.

They do much to keep young people off the street and along with Wednesfield Aces are one of the most successful of the sporting clubs that are active in Wednesfield North. It is working with youngsters like this that will help combat vandalism and graffiti. Let's not underestimate the benefits of adults working with children in a sporting environment.

At a time when we are all urging young people to channel their energy into constructive activity, I am pleased to state my support for this football club."
