Break In- Danesmore

Councillor Phil Bateman said "There are times when you want to cry out in frustration and I feel like that this morning after I have heard about the latest damage and theft that has taken place at Danesmore Park Primart School.
I know that my constituents feel the same way because I have received their comments on the Discussion Page of my web site.

How many times can you keep replacing stolen items? What about the disruption to children and their learning ability.I do hope that any one who knows anything about these incidents will notify the police. Everytime something like this happens we all have to pay the cost.

Here is what one anonymous reader has placed on my web site, I shall chase the education authority to see id special arrangements for security can be put into place, as is requested."

Yet AGAIN Danesmore Park school has been broken into!! Measures have been put in place to try and tackle this re-occuring problem. However, funds are always an issue. Surley there is some sort of funding available to help schools combat vandalism and break in''s at schools. Each time this happens the children are directley effected. Either by have no access to their own class room while glass from smashed windows is cleared away, new windows fitted and the class room made safe for the children. Or, waiting for stolen equipment to be replaced.
The police do all they can and cannot be at every school 24 hours, 7 days a week. So other measures have to be put into place ranging from education, community involvement to anti climbing features to stop people getting onto the roof of buildings and properly installed cameras and alarm systems.

With the six weeks holidays just around the corner something has to be done!! very quickly. What can be done to protect the schools in our area, is it a joint project between the schools?, is there funding available? I really don''t want to hear of more break in's across the estate. There have been to many for to long. What can be done!?!?!?!?!
