Community Wants Help

Rubbish and beer cans are starting to cause a problem because of the sheer number of times that the staff at the Health Clinic and Ashmore Park Nursery School have to face the garbage.
Councillor Phil Bateman said " Both these building that front Griffith Drive have rear car parks that are somewhat secluded and is attracting all sorts of problems for the staff at both facilities.

Staff complain to me that far too regularly they come to work and have to face the litter that has been strewn around the car park, some times there is evidence of drug use.

Yesterday morning was typical for when staff came to work at the clinic on Monday morning, there were beer cans, litter and broken glass. I have to report that this is happening far too often. Staff and residents want the Authorities to do something about it I am going to ask both the Police and the Local Authority to keep an eye out for those people who are making a mess after their drinking parties.

I am also keen to see if the City Council can use one of the cameras that watch over the Ashmore Park Shopping Parade to peer behind the clinic and the school to capture the persons on film who are so intent on making these two important community assets a mess."
