Car Park Action

I raised the problem of the Wyvern Park derelict car -park in Peach Road recently to the City Council.

I outlined the serious problems that the neighbours that share a boundary with the car-park faced following serious vandalism and the fact that fences were being held up by bits of wood in some places. Other parts of the car-park had lines of fence being propped up by trees.

Councillor Phil Bateman said " I wrote to the authority and explained how concerned I was about the dangerous state of the fences I sent photo's to explain the position and my fears that the fences in there present condition could prove a danger to people especially children.

I am pleased to be able to report the City Council have been and inspected the site, they are preparing to tackle the problem quickly and that a review of the long term future of the site is to be conducted. I am pleased that some action is to be taken to shore up the dangerous situation that is now existing. I am sure neighbours will also be pleased with this development."
