Marriage Certificate Joseph & Mary Ellen Bateman

The Marriage Certificate dated February 16th 1907 informs us that Joseph Bateman age 28 a Blacksmith of 45 Steelhouse lane Wolverhampton married on this day. Joseph and Mary Ellen Bateman were the Grand Parents of Phil Bateman read the information contained on this note .
The Marriage took place the Parish Church in the Parish of All Saints Wolverhampton in the County of Stafford. Joseph described as a Batchelor married Mary Ellen Blower age 19 a Spinster of 22 Steelhouse Lane Wolverhampton. The bmarriage certificate tells us that Mary Ellen(known as Nell) was working as a Lacquiring.
The Marriage Certificate also gives important information about Josephs father Thomas and he is described as a Shingler with Nells father Henry Blower rank or profession as being Cycle Liner.

They were married at All Saints Church which is still standing but not a Church today 2005. The Rites and Banns were all recorded as taking palace in the Church and read by the Assistant Priest William T Davis.

The two witnesses were Walter Caine and Annie Blower and all the information was entered into the Regester Book of Marriages of the Parish Church of All Saints.
